Getting back in the Saddle - 6 Week Program @ Home
This 6 week program is for riders who are just getting back in the saddle after a long hiatus of not riding. This program is all about gaining confidence again after years of not riding whether due to an injury, a bad fall or lack of time! There will be fear and nervousness associated with getting back on a horse, but I want to help you decrease that fear by feeling confident and strong through fitness training.
Building cardiovascular fitness and strength training is going to substantially help you get back in the saddle. It will make riding feel a little bit easier, and allow your body to not be in complete shock the next day after a riding lesson. Starting a fitness routine before getting back in the saddle will also reduce soreness, muscle pain or risk of injury.
This program will mainly focus on building cardiovascular fitness to help you keep up with hour long riding lessons, rider specific stretches to prevent injury and enhance flexibility that may have been lost during your horsey hiatus, strengthening specific muscles used for horse riding, and overall full body conditioning to become accustomed again to the sport of horse riding.
Main Focus:
- Bodyweight Home Workout
- Confidence building through fitness training
- Build cardiovascular fitness
- Stretches to prevent injury
- Full Body Conditioning
- Strengthening specific muscles used during riding
